AYSO REGION 128 REGION UPDATE
February 17th, 2025

This update is for Core only, 3- and 4-year-olds updates will come from Director Greg Hirtz [email protected]

*All teams have been formed, all coaches are in place, a few openings in 10U Boys and Girls exist
* Entire season schedule has been provided to coaches for proofreading
* Coaches will receive team roster the week of Feb 23rd when they attend a coach meeting, coaches will then contact you directly.
* Region will release electronic copies of rosters of Saturday March 1st by email.
* Training starts the week of March 3rd.
* Friendly scrimmages/jamboree is on Mar 7th, that schedule will be given to coaches at the coach meetings
* No games during Spring break weekend March 15th or 22nd
* Uniform release / pickup will be the 1st week of March 5pm - 8pm nightly, at concessions due to a change in vendor turnaround times
* All players must wear shin guards during training and games
* NO JEWELRY of any kind is ever allowed in AYSO soccer
* NO casts, splints, hard braces of any kind are ever allowed in AYSO soccer
* Restroom facilities are winterized and closed; a portable toilet is located in front of field 4
* NO smoking or vaping allowed anywhere outside your vehicle in our complex
*6U Coed plays on Friday nights at 630pm, 1st night Feb 28, those teams are still being formed
*Referee training class is Feb 22nd at 3pm at the complex, coach training is March 1st at complex as well
* Weather closures are posted at the top of the website, on Facebook, on Field Status column on website and by email. Cancellation notice are
   made by 3pm each day, please do not email, text or call prior to that time. Game Day cancellations are made at 7am on Saturdays. 
* In all initial communications, please only use [email protected], always include player name, gender and DOB

IMPORTANT!  
1. The region does not provide refunds for registrants who decide not to play due to not being able
to train on a specific night. The region does not take requests for training times or night, coach or teammate request except in rare cases. 
2. However, this season we will attempt something new. We are creating a google sheet transfer request.

You will need to download the google sheets app or get access to google sheets,
 the region will provide you with a link to that page. On this page, you will be able to put your information to see if anyone else
is willing to trade teams / nights to better facilitate your scheduling needs.  NOTE: THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO SIBLINGS -if the region erred in
making sure siblings were put on teams that train the same night, we will fix that. This google sheet link will be sent out this weekend. 

We are pretty much ready to go, a few meetings here and there, uniforms, tons of field prep needed, nets on goals, but administratively we are all set.
