MESSAGE FROM THE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR REQUIRED VOLUNTEER TRAINING

Thank you for volunteering, our program does not happen without you. This is your program. The board of directors is here to provide

you answers and guide you down the path to creating long lasting memories with our kids.

First, if you signed up as an assistant coach (1) email us with whom you desire to coach with (2) even assistant coaches are required

to complete all this training prior to be assigned as an assistant coach.. Thanks for being a part of the solution here at region 128.

There are no shortcuts and honestly there shouldn't be when it comes to the safety and guardianship of our players. Please go to your account, click

on volunteer and it will show you your current certifications. Everyone must have all certifications in place before stepping on the field.

1. visit www.ayso128.org and sign in to your account

2. Click on My Roles & Certificates, this will show you what you need to do

3. Disregard California fingerprinting.

4. Background check (2 options) AYSO WIKI is online resources for background checks Background Checks - AYSO Wiki

(a) Returning volunteer, click on the box next to Background Check, then click update at bottom of page

(b) New volunteer, click on AYSOU tab on the right of the Roles/Certificates Box

5. SafeHaven - located in the AYSOU platform

6. Sudden Cardiac Arrest - located in the AYSOU platform

7. Concussion Awareness training in the AYSOU platform, also here HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training | HEADS UP | CDC Injury Center

8. SafeSport - Government mandated training for any adult volunteer nationwide, found here Preventing and Addressing Abuse | U.S. Center for SafeSport (uscenterforsafesport.org) this training is three hours long but you may start, stop and go back to finish.

9. Coach training - be sure to take the online portion of coach training in AYSOU for the age you are coaching. If you need the In-Person Coach training for U10 or U12,

you may take that at Ball Camp on the days provided on the region calendar.

IMPORTANT - download digital copies of all certificates at the end of training.

forever except for Background Check and Safesport which need to be done annually. This is valid for assistant as

well as head coach volunteers. Volunteers who are assigned to head coaching positions players will be able to play at no charge other than AYSO National Fee.
